Li Changsheng, a young rural traditional doctor, protects villagers with his family's acupuncture skills but is called a "quack" by a city hospital expert. Even Su Wanqing, the female reporter he admires (who came to investigate rural medical chaos), is disappointed in him. Until an infectious disease breaks out, and experts are helpless. Li uses his family's secret recipe to control the epidemic in three days, revealing he's the only descendant of the reclusive medical sage "Ghost Hand Li"—he hid his identity to fulfill his grandfather's wish: "Heal the most suffering people." Su, seeing his skills and original intention, realizes she's long been moved by his gentle persistence. They go from misunderstanding to sweet love. And Li's counterattack has just begun to uncover the legend of "guarding the world with medical ethics."
