While staying up late to finish a proposal, office worker Lin Xiaoman accidentally binds the "Mirror Lover System", which tells her her lover is Gu Jingshen, a top CEO from a parallel world. They share memories through the system: Lin helps Gu make up for missing his mother's last moments, and Gu punishes her exploitative boss and retrieves her stolen design drafts. Just as Lin thinks she's about to meet her "mirror", the system suddenly demands, "Admit you love the unfulfilled version of yourself." But when she goes downstairs to buy coffee, she sees Gu holding the orange candy she loved as a child: "I'm not a mirror. I crossed parallel worlds to find you—in my system, you're my mirror." It turns out all tasks were a two-way journey, and the regrets they filled together had long turned the "mirror" into the most real love.
