Ye Zhaozhao, the mocked "good-for-nothing young lady" of the Ye family, is sold to a 60-year-old minister as a marriage tool because she can't practice spiritual power. While fleeing the wedding, she bumps into Rong Heng, a soft, cute teenager who clings to her, calling her "A Zhao," and claims to be her "Milk Bun Daddy"—saying she's an "ancient Azure Dragon." Ye Zhaozhao thinks he's out of his mind—until the Ye family tries to kidnap her. Rong Heng suddenly transforms into a silver-haired, golden-eyed Dragon Prince, flipping the entire Ye mansion with a wave of his hand: "No one dares bully my dragon!" It turns out Rong Heng is the crown prince of the ancient Dragon Clan. A thousand years ago, he exhausted his power sealing an evil force, turning into a "milk bun" (soft and adorable) form to protect Ye Zhaozhao—the Azure Dragon he bred with his own dragon blood. Now the evil is resurfacing, and Rong Heng needs to help her awaken her dragon power. But Ye Zhaozhao first falls for this "milk bun turned tyrant Dragon Daddy"—while evading pursuit, enjoying a sweet romance, and rising from a good-for-nothing to the nation-protecting Azure Dragon. Little does she know, this "unexpected milk bun" fate is a thousand-year-long guardianship.
