Su Xiaoman, owner of the "Xiaoman Rose" shop at the alley, sells flowers to raise money for her mother's medical treatment. On a rainy night, she saves Gu Chengchuan, president of Jiangshan Group, who is being chased. To escape a forced business marriage, Gu pretends to be a poor guy and moves into the flower shop's attic — he helps her carry flower buckets, she teaches him to wrap roses, and they fall for each other amid the rose scent. But when Gu's fiancée shows up with evidence that Gu's group's pollution caused Su's mother's illness years ago, Su's "redemption" turns into "grudge". Gu fights his power-hungry uncle while investigating the truth, and Su is torn between love and hatred: should she hold on to this rose stained with enmity, or let it go?
