Lin Xiaoman, a 200-jin genius songwriter hiding behind her fiancé, is dismissed as “embarrassing to show off” because of her appearance. Her fiancé Lu Ming not only steals the debut song she spent three years writing for his new girlfriend but also posts her unflattering photos on social media, mocking, “How could a fat girl like this dare to dream?” Heartbroken, Xiaoman cuts her hair, hides her identity, and becomes a resident singer at the “Butterfly Pub” in an old alley, singing her own songs under the name “Little Die.” Her smoky, magnetic voice and heart-touching lyrics accidentally go viral on Douyin, with fans begging her to show her face. When she holds her first concert as a stunning 98-jin beauty, Lu Ming squeezes into the audience and realizes the “original dark horse” that’s been giving his company a headache is the girl he once trampled on. Her former mocking best friend and the song-stealing new girlfriend all tear up when she sings *I Was a Fat Butterfly*—turns out those years of being looked down on became her sharpest counterattack.
