Gu Zhao, the top expert of the imperial dark guard unit "Night Shadow", was framed and reduced to a useless man, only to be assigned to protect Shen Wantang—the marriage alliance princess rumored to have "killed three fiancés". He thought it was a disguised exile, but when he took blades for her time and again, he discovered that this seemingly fragile "jinx" had secretly relieved disaster victims, taken down corrupt officials, and even investigated his old injustice. From "mutual disdain" to "mutual protection with swords", Gu Zhao finally realizes—the so-called "Ace Bodyguard" is never one-way protection. What he wants to guard is not just her life, but also the country she's determined to defend, and the unspoken feelings hidden in the glare of blades.
