Investment tycoon Wu Gang returns to his hometown to acquire a traditional craft factory, only to run into Liu Xiaoxu, the 'thorn' who refuses to sell the factory—this girl who treats old carpentry as her life is actually the little Xu he used to share candies with by the stove as a child. Wu Gang originally wanted to crush everything with capital, but Liu Xiaoxu used a carving knife and a room full of wood art to cut open the original heart he hid under his suit: it turns out his desperate struggle in the financial circle was just to retrieve the warmth of making wooden hairpins with his grandma as a kid. When workplace schemes meet pure sincerity, when the 'acquirer' becomes the 'guardian', the two continue a sweet and reversed love story about 'only by keeping your original heart can you dare to love' under the wooden beams of the old factory.
