Lin Xiaoman, a mainland wedding planner, travels to Hong Kong with a blank "Hong Kong Wedding Diary" to win back her Hong Kong boyfriend Chen Mo, who broke up with her over "infidelity". Pretending to marry a new boyfriend in Hong Kong, she forces her way into Chen Mo's tiny subdivided flat. What the diary doesn't say—Chen Mo's "mistress" is actually a caregiver for his terminally ill mother; he lied to avoid burdening Xiaoman. And the "wedding prep entries" Xiaoman secretly writes every day are all fragments of their past memories. When Chen Mo stumbles upon the diary filled with lines like "I really want to walk the red carpet with you again", and when Xiaoman catches him accompanying his mother at the hospital, can the true feelings in this "fake wedding" pull the separated lovers back together?
