A regular mountain forager named A Shan encounters a mysterious earth snake in the forest. Instead of dying from the bite, he accidentally gains an earth snake avatar—an ability to share senses with the avatar and become strong enough to split rocks. He just uses the avatar to solve a crisis with his companion when he is targeted by a mysterious organization that covets the "beast fusion ability". Meanwhile, A Shan gradually discovers his father's years-ago disappearance is closely tied to this mysterious forest power and the earth snake, launching an adventure about survival, secrets and family affection.
