Ming Zhu, the "Charming Wild Rose" of Jiangcheng, is a feared "wicked woman" in the business circle—she crushes conspiracies, manipulates schemes, and her thorns keep everyone away. But she insists on getting close to Wei Lurao, the ruthless CEO: brushing her fingertips against his hand when handing him wine, throwing her drunk self into his arms late at night, even deliberately aiming her revenge at his company. Wei Lurao sees through her trap at a glance but joins in with a smile: "Want to play? I’ll keep you company." However, the more they play, the more he discovers that beneath the wild rose’s thorns lie scars from being abandoned by her biological father in childhood and the grievance of having to pretend to be ruthless to protect her younger brother. When Ming Zhu raises a knife at him, Wei Lurao instead grabs her hand and presses the blade to his chest: "Stab me. Once you pierce through, you’ll find that all I have inside is redemption for you."
