Lin Xiao's grandfather drowned after her next-door neighbor Zhao Qiang privately adjusted his terrain and dug drainage ditches, causing rainwater to backflow during a storm. Grieving, Lin Xiao built a tall building on her original property according to the law, hoping to keep her grandfather's memory. A once-in-a-century rainstorm suddenly hit. Zhao Qiang's terrain alteration destroyed the surrounding drainage system. Coupled with the building blocking the water flow, Zhao Qiang's family was suddenly trapped in floods, with communication interrupted and no way to call for help. The disaster caused by selfish motives finally backfired on the evildoers.
