Ruan Ruan, a young fairy from the Underworld's Mengpo Village, is banished to the mortal realm after accidentally releasing the thousand-year-old evil ghost "Grudge Eater." She must recapture the ghost within 100 days to return. But upon arrival, she crashes into Gu Jingchuan, the cold and wealthy heir—his family is plagued by the "Grudge Eater," with a string of mysterious deaths. To get close to the ghost, Ruan Ruan suggests a "contract marriage": she helps Gu break the family curse, and he provides her with a legal identity. However, this aloof heir hides a secret—his heart holds a wisp of Ruan Ruan's past-life soul! As the "fiery fairy" chases ghosts and the "sickly heir" harbors hidden feelings, their ghost-catching days uncover past-life grudges. Ruan Ruan soon realizes: what she's chasing isn't just a ghost, but a thousand-year-old "love debt."
