Transnational cardiac surgeon Sang Yu accidentally gets involved in military officer Zhou Heng's anti-terrorism operation while rescuing people in a war zone—the "patient" she's trying to save is actually a hostage of terrorists, and Zhou Heng's mission is to destroy the den. From confrontation to fighting side by side, Sang Yu saves dying lives with her scalpel, while Zhou Heng blocks bullets for her with his gun. Amidst the交织 of heartbeats and gunshots, they understand the deep affection in each other's eyes. But after the mission, Zhou Heng loses contact due to a top-secret task, and Sang Yu returns to China with an unspoken confession. Until the autumn of the 28th year, a familiar figure suddenly appears in the hospital—the man who once took a bullet for her finally stands outside her operating room with a chest full of military medals and says: "I'm here to keep our 28-year promise."
