Night market vendor Chen Mo offends fellow trader Zhao San, who threatens to destroy his stall and extort 800 yuan in "hush money" while vowing to run him out of the market. Refusing to back down, Chen remembers the old proverb "Strike first and gain the upper hand". That very night, he intercepts Zhao's truck carrying 800 yuan worth of slow-selling restock goods, turning the tables and blackmailing Zhao instead. Little does he know, the cargo belongs to a local crime gang. What starts as a petty feud spirals into a bloody gang war, and Chen is caught in the crossfire. Can he walk away unscathed with his quick first move?
