Lin Wan, a bankrupt entrepreneur in 2023, wakes up as a rural widow named "Lin Wan" in 1992, with her three-year-old daughter Yaya—who has a high fever because the original owner couldn't afford medicine—lying in her arms. Having lost tens of millions in her previous life, she vows: Even if she has to collect scrap, she'll make sure Yaya has enough to eat and wear! She rides a broken tricycle to collect copper in the county town, is called "a shameless widow" by a shrew from the next village, and has her business stolen by competitors. Yet with her past-life business acumen, she turns waste plastic into flower pots to sell, sells old books/newspapers to paper mills in bulk, and refurbishes old TVs for profit. When Yaya hugs her and says, "Mom has money for candy now," Lin Wan looks at the sign of the scrap yard she just bought, smiling through tears—this time, she'll regain everything she lost with her own hands!
