Zhong Kui, the ghost-hunting celestial from the Tang Dynasty, accidentally travels to 2024 Shanghai after touching an ancient talisman. Determined to return to his time, he meets Lin Xiaoman—a corporate white-collar worker who looks exactly like his deceased lover from a past life. Lin, a people-pleaser always taking blame for colleagues and enduring PUA from her boss, is tormented by an "invisible resentment." Zhong Kui uses talismans on shared bikes to chase "ghosts" and his heavenly eyes to see through workplace schemes, helping Lin break free from fake relationships while rediscovering his unspoken love. But as they grow closer, Zhong Kui realizes his spirit is fading—the price of time travel is trading his memories for her safety. Will he go back to the Tang Dynasty and forget everything, or stay to spend his last moments with her?
