Su Wan, an office worker still revising plans on New Year's Eve, stayed up all night recreating her mom's "family recipe New Year's Eve dinner"—sweet and sour ribs, preserved vegetable pork—every dish steeped in childhood memories, all to fix her "cold war" with her parents. But as she set off with her adopted stray cat "Xiao Tuanyuan" (Little Reunion), the cat suddenly pounced, knocking over the thermal box and snatching the rib lunch box before running! Su Wan chased the cat into the arms of her "cold neighbor" Gu Shen—only to find him holding the stolen box, sweet and sour sauce on his lips. Turns out "Xiao Tuanyuan" was "Fu Gui" (Wealth), the cat he lost half a year ago! Just then, her ex-boyfriend rushed over, accusing her of "clinging to rich people." Gu Shen pulled out a childhood photo: "You said you'd make me New Year's Eve dinner forever—are you backing out?" He was her mom's best friend's son, the once little follower now her protector. And "Xiao Tuanyuan's" "escape"? It helped her retrieve the warmth of her childhood—and the one she'd missed.
