Down-and-out designer Su Wan is forced to sign a contract marriage with Gu Yanxing, the reputed "ruthless suit-clad tyrant", to save her critically ill brother. Expecting an endless cage, she finds extreme tenderness under Gu's suit: he retrieves her stolen designs, silently hands her hot cocoa when she breaks down, and even takes a knife for her from enemies. As Su Wan grows dependent on this "cage keeper", she stumbles upon Gu's ten-year-old keepsake—the band-aid she once gave a wounded boy. Turns out this "cage" has been a gentle trap he's wanted to lock her in for a lifetime, since the moment she knelt in the alley to give him that band-aid a decade ago.
