30-year-old Lin Wan is an urban worker "fallen" into the abyss—cheated on by her scumbag ex, framed by her boss and lost a project, she wrapped her tenderness in coldness and became a "machine without warmth" in colleagues' eyes. Until 22-year-old intern Gu Xingye crashed into her world: he squatted in the rain to pick up her scattered resumes, saw her softness with red eyes when she secretly fed stray cats, and even waited for two hours downstairs with hot porridge when she worked overtime until midnight. The 8-year age gap was like a chasm, Lin Wan retreated: "I'm a rotten 'fallen one', not worthy of your light." But Gu Xingye grabbed her wrist: "The kindness you hide in 'fall' is the starlight I'm chasing." When the scumbag ex suddenly came back begging for reconciliation, when Gu's mother took a check and told her to "stay away from my son", can this May-December romance "turn fall into light" survive the real swords and guns of the city?
