Sun Ze, a single dad from the countryside, takes his 5-year-old daughter Xiaohetao to the city to make a living. But his name—pronounced similarly to “thief” in local dialect—brings him endless humiliation: falsely accused of stealing at the supermarket, his resume thrown away during job interviews, and even his ex-wife (who abandoned them years ago) shows up with her new boyfriend, calling him a “loser” and demanding custody of their daughter. Little does anyone know, this “thief” everyone looks down on is actually a retired genius designer who once dominated the international design scene and gave up his career to save his daughter! When Xiaohetao holds up his hidden sketches and yells, “Dad’s drawings are brighter than stars!”, and when the CEOs who once mocked him beg for collaborations after seeing his work, Sun Ze finally drops his “weak” facade—this time, he’s here to reclaim his dignity as a father and give all the naysayers a taste of their own medicine!
