Unemployed designer Lin Wangchuan accidentally breaks into CEO Gu Siyan’s private office after spilling her design drafts. Expecting to be kicked out, she’s forced into a “personal designer” contract by Gu under the excuse of “compensating for emotional damage”. While complaining about Gu’s moodiness, she regains her plagiarized designs and fights back against workplace bullies with his “forced protection”. Meanwhile, Gu, who closed his heart due to his mother’s death in childhood, slowly opens up to Lin’s carefree warmth. Just as their contractual partnership turns romantic, a rumor of a “past-life promise by the River of Forgetfulness” emerges—Are they reincarnated lovers from a thousand years ago, or just two souls meant to be? A sweet, empowering love story where the river can’t stop true affection unfolds.
