Sixty-year-old Lin Jianguo retires and becomes a courier to help his daughter pay the mortgage, hiding his identity as a Grade 8 technician. At work, young colleagues mock him for being “slow,” customers blame him for “late deliveries,” and even the supervisor implies he’s “taking up space.” Until the company’s sorting system suddenly crashes and the maintenance team is stuck, Lin silently takes out his toolbox and fixes the problem in half an hour—turns out he was the best technician in the factory back then! Those who once mocked him instantly become his fans, and his daughter finally learns the “heroic past” her father hid for half his life. This “retired and rehired” secret holds the pride and tenderness of the older generation.
