In the 1980s, Taohua Village in northern China is struck by a "dog calamity": livestock are killed one after another, and an elderly villager is attacked and falls comatose at night. Tracing the virus, Lin catches Wang colluding with a businessman at a county dog farm—they're using sick dogs to create panic and buy the village's land cheaply! When Zhou Fugen raises his shotgun to "subdue the spirit dog," Lin rushes over and sees a bony yellow dog in front of her—with the copper bell Zhou tied to Old Yellow ten years ago! It turns out Lin's father saved Old Yellow, and now it's back to protect the villagers...
