Three years ago, Lin Chuan, a hermit divine doctor, exposed his secret technique to save his first love Su Wanqing, only to be betrayed by fellow disciples and have his sect destroyed. He swore revenge before falling off a cliff. Three years later, he returns as a 'down-and-out apprentice', using his silver needle skills (which can bring the dying back to life) to humiliate snobbish people while secretly investigating the truth. When he reunites with Su Wanqing—now an investment bank CEO—she is cold to him due to a 'betrayal misunderstanding'—but Su Wanqing has been searching for him all these years and kept their old promise... Can they resolve their misunderstanding as the divine doctor's counterattack meets the CEO's secret crush? What secret lies behind the sect's destruction?
