Lin Xiaoman, known as the "Crybaby Granny" in the mountains for always crying red-eyed over the villagers' troubles, is actually a surviving daughter of a general family, hiding exceptional martial arts skills. Chu Yan, the crown prince, goes incognito to investigate a corruption case and strays into the deep mountains, where he's attacked by wolves—only to be saved by Xiaoman, who's carrying a wild boar! This isn't a crybaby; this is a "mountain king" who can lift a shotgun with one hand! Chu Yan stays at Xiaoman's house to continue his investigation, only to find the general's token she's hiding, which connects to the treason case he's probing. On one side is Xiaoman, desperate to keep her secret; on the other is Chu Yan, determined to uncover the truth. From mutual suspicion to standing side by side, when Xiaoman's family feud collides with Chu Yan's imperial duty, this "Crybaby Granny" is ready to take out the knife she's hidden for ten years and aim it at those who destroyed her family—and Chu Yan will be her strongest backup.
