Lin Shen, a creative director at an advertising agency, has hidden a secret crush for eight years—Su Wan, the girl he secretly gave milk tea to and copied notes for in high school, has become his subordinate. Betrayed by her fiancé three years ago, Su Wan closed her heart and only confided in an "anonymous pen pal," unaware it was Lin Shen who stayed up late with her every night revising proposals. On her birthday, Su Wan is harassed by her ex; Lin Shen takes her to the rooftop and pulls out a box of "evidence": the sticky notes she wrote in high school, unsent concert tickets, and a love letter rewritten countless times. When Su Wan realizes the "anonymous pen pal" is Lin Shen, he points to the newly opened "Wanwan Convenience Store" below: "I saved eight years of courage to open a store named after you, and now I finally dare to say—tonight, I can't live without you."
