Su Xiaotang, a modern food blogger, accidentally travels back to an eastern Zhejiang fishing village in the 1980s. She wakes up to her grandfather forcing her to marry Lin Shen, a "poor outsider" who’s joining the Su family as a son-in-law. Obsessed with finding a way back, she dismisses the quiet, net-mending Lin as useless. But when the village faces unsold fish and a damaged boat, Lin reveals his self-taught mariculture skills and helps her turn her grandfather’s old raft into a "Fishing Village Flavor Hut." Late one night, when he shields her from gossip, the warm ginger tea in his sleeve and his salt-streaked face while fixing the boat make her heart race—turns out the "useless" son-in-law she hated is a hidden treasure in the village’s warmth, and their "marriage first, love later" story has already stolen her heart.
