The remote Tongmu Village has worshipped the Golden Crow totem for generations, a guardian amulet left by descendants of the Sun God. Lin Xiaoman, a female journalist returning to investigate ecological anomalies, is immediately caught in the panic of "the Golden Crow's punishment"—rice fields burnt to cinders, scarlet light clusters hovering at night, and suddenly blind elders. Villagers kneel and shout, "It's the mountain diggers who angered the god!" But when she opens her mother's old diary, she uncovers the village chief's conspiracy: illegal mining caused heavy metal pollution in the soil, and those "miracles" are just the light from burning slag. Uncle Zhou, the totem guardian, was actually her mother's comrade—they tried to expose the truth years ago but were accused of "offending the god"... When the "wrath of God" is stripped away, will they choose to continue living under the protection of the legend, or face the greed of human nature?
