Lin Shen, a frustrated urban professional, returns to his hometown Qingzhu Village to heal, only to unexpectedly awaken the ability to communicate with animals: the old yellow dog at the village entrance吐槽s the village chief's bureaucratic style, the squirrels in the back mountain reveal poachers' whereabouts, and even his family's old hen is playing matchmaker between him and village doctor Su Xiao. Just as he uses his ability to solve problems like poaching and water pollution for the village and gradually regains the warmth of life, a commercial development plan targeting the primitive forest behind the village quietly begins—developers bribe the village chief, deceive villagers with fake environmental assessments, and even threaten opponents. Lin Shen must rely on the "intelligence" from animals and the trust of villagers to uncover the conspiracy and protect his hometown. Meanwhile, he faces his growing affection for Su Xiao—can he use his ability to guard his nostalgia, and seize this love hidden in the chaos of rural life?
