After the mysterious black rain strikes the city, ordinary man Chen Mo only wants to keep his wife and child alive in the devastated wasteland. Yet, he’s pushed into the role of leader by desperate survivors time and again. Some covet his limited supplies, others doubt his choices, and a few plot against him. Having once only cared for his family, he must discard his timidity to guide the group, navigating cruel humanity and harsh apocalyptic trials. The first season weaves family warmth, survival grit, and remarkable forced growth into its narrative.
