Su Wan, an intern cultural relic restorer, accidentally runs into overbearing CEO Gu Jingshen while repairing a Tang Dynasty Buddha statue missing its moon wheel—this "Moon Dust Buddha" is actually the Gu family's lost heirloom for a century. Gu Jingshen "binds" Su Wan to him under the pretext of "compensation", but when he watches her crouch down to carefully touch up the Buddha's patterns with a cotton swab, he remembers the little girl who gave him candy in the Buddhist hall as a child. Su Wan also discovers that the cold-faced CEO stares at a Buddha portrait every night, hiding an unspoken childhood promise. When the moon wheel of the Buddha statue is finally recovered, they also retrieve the heartbeat buried by time.
