Fang Xia, a workplace pushover, endures her boss stealing her credit and making her take the blame by day, only to catch her boyfriend cheating with her best friend at night. When she can't even afford her grandma's hospital bills—convinced life has hit rock bottom—she stumbles upon vintage qipao manuscripts left by her missing mother while sorting through her grandma's relics. Leveraging the intangible cultural heritage techniques from the manuscripts, Fang Xia gains traction at a market stall, but this attracts plagiarism from her former boss. Just as she presents her original designs at Fashion Week, the mysterious designer who once helped her restore the manuscripts reveals the truth about her mother's disappearance. From an overlooked "doormat" to a design industry dark horse, her comeback journey unravels puzzles of love and family along the way.
