Lin Wanzheng clung to love like it was her life in college—staying up all night to补顾Yanshen's notes, saving every penny for his startup, only to catch him embracing her best friend in her rented room. Worse, they framed her to lose the recommendation spot, grinding her heart into dust. She cried as she shredded all their couple items, took 500 yuan, and left for Shenzhen to fight her way up. Ten years later, she’s the CEO of a top advertising firm. At her alma mater’s anniversary, she finds Gu Yanshen begging clients for a deal in the stairwell, and her ex-best friend selling insurance with a kid in her arms. When the two crawl back to her, she smiles and hands over a termination letter: “I threw away that kite string years ago. Now it’s your turn to feel abandoned.” Behind her, lawyer Lu Zhao gently offers a cup of hot cocoa: “This time, I want to fly the kite with you—steadier, together.”
