Sanpao, a street punk from 1980s Northeast China, stumbled into the ruins of an old market after drinking and unexpectedly reincarnated back to 1985's Xinglong Market! Bound to the "Old Object Soul Contract" system, he must collect 100 old items carrying stall owners' obsessions—Uncle Zhou, the osmanthus candy seller, searches for his daughter lost for 30 years; Old Han, the watch repairman, hides an unsent letter to his late wife; even the sweet potato stall he used to frequent has a glass bead in the stove that reveals the past. But when Sanpao helps stall owners resolve their regrets, he finds Axiu—his childhood sweetheart who died due to his impulsiveness in a past life—selling popsicles at the market entrance. Should he finish the system task to return to the present, or stay in the past to rewrite their fate? In this fantasy old market, every relic holds an unfinished story. Is Sanpao's reincarnation redemption... or another scheme?
