Su Xiaoman, the 'turtle guardian' of the aquarium, clashes with CEO Gu Jingshen when he comes to 'steal' Lao Shou, the aquarium's treasured soft-shelled turtle—Gu insists Lao Shou saved him from drowning as a child and must go home with him. To protect Lao Shou, Su is forced to move into Gu's mansion as a 'turtle caretaker', starting a daily routine of 'battling the CEO while spoiling the turtle': she uses 'Lao Shou refuses to eat without me' to manipulate Gu into mending her torn apron; he retaliates with 'CEO-style trickery' by putting her face on the company's turtle food packaging, calling her the 'brand ambassador'. When Gu takes out a 20-year-old childhood drawing—little Gu holding little Lao Shou—and Su discovers that Lao Shou's shell has 'Gu-Su Fate' carved by young Gu, the 'turtle-related enemies' realize: that 'turtle-stealing war' was actually a 'sweet romance plan' plotted by Lao Shou and little Gu together.
