Luo Xiaotang, the little Yama of the Underworld, was banished to the mortal world for accidentally releasing a wronged soul, taking her cute son Xiaotuanzi—who can see people's hearts—with her. She unexpectedly meets Gu Jingshen, a human CEO with a "mind-reading buff"—her Yama token hidden in the bag, her plan to earn merit to return to the Underworld, and even her secret fear of the dark, all are clearly "heard" by Gu Jingshen. She thought she would expose her identity, but Gu Jingshen silently helps her solve the trouble of the wronged soul's chaos and even plays "Underworld magic make-believe" with Xiaotuanzi. Xiaotuanzi also secretly uses his mind-reading ability to check Gu Jingshen's "true heart"—it turns out that this cold CEO hid the thought of "wanting to spend his life with her" in his suit pocket from the first time he saw her. When the Underworld villain comes to take Luo Xiaotang back for punishment, Gu Jingshen takes out the "Life and Death Contract" he has hidden for three months: "If you want to touch her, destroy my lifespan first." The family of three fights side by side, not only regaining the position of Yama, but also turning the warmth of the "Underworld small family" into the sweetest counterattack legend in the mortal world.
