18-year-old Xiaotang has been called a 'jinx' by her relatives since childhood—even selling milk tea gets her accused of 'ruining business.' Until one day, Gu Jingshen, a multibillionaire CEO, bursts into her tiny rental with a DNA report: 'You’re my daughter who went missing 15 years ago!' Xiaotang tries to run from this 'sudden fatherly love,' only to catch Gu crying over his late wife’s photo—he’s built an empire, but is too scared to love due to the 'lonely star' rumor, living alone in a giant empty mansion at nearly 40. Determined to teach her dad how to 'be loved,' Xiaotang reluctantly becomes a 'love consultant': tripping into Lin Wan’s flower shop while delivering flowers for Gu, Lin Wan sees Gu’s tenderness as he panics to help her; mistakenly booking a 'couple hot pot' instead of a business dinner, forcing Gu and Lin Wan to share a bowl of tomato soup, sparking chemistry through the steam. And Xiaotang realizes: her 'bad luck' was never a curse—Gu’s biggest client came from the uncle she bumped into while lost; Lin Wan agreed to date Gu because she saw him shield Xiaotang when coffee spilled. When Gu holds the ring Xiaotang helped pick and says to Lin Wan, 'I don’t want to wait anymore,' Xiaotang squats by the road, laughing through tears: her 'jinx' label was always meant to catch this late fatherly love and warmth.
