Lin Xiaoman, a pragmatic and thrifty girl, and Gu Xiaotang, a romantic and outgoing social butterfly, are working sisters who have shared a rental for three years. Their newly rented community store is on the verge of being taken away due to unpaid rent—Xiaoman wants to earn money steadily by selling homemade taro balls, while Xiaotang secretly starts a "social butterfly-style live stream" to attract customers. They quarrel and fall into a cold war, until one late night, Xiaoman finds the fresh taro puree Xiaotang hid in the fridge, and Xiaotang stumbles upon the live stream props Xiaoman made overnight... These two "poor but glowing" girls will rely on their most awkward tacit understanding to hold onto the first "light" they've built in the big city.
