During the chaotic Southern Song Dynasty, childhood sweethearts Shen Qing and Xiao Ce pledged their love. Xiao Ce left to defend the northern border, swearing to marry Shen Qing after reclaiming the lost land. Three years later, news of the border's fall arrived alongside Xiao Ce's jade pendant, confirming his death. Shen Qing guarded the old locust tree they planted together, waiting in the ruins for over a decade. As the dynasty changed, she met a new dynasty general who looked exactly like Xiao Ce but had no memory of her. When he drew his sword toward the homeland she once fought to protect, Shen Qing knew the man she'd dreamed of for ten years had returned—yet he was no longer hers.
