Lin Wan, a socially anxious ancient book restorer, lives a reclusive life in the old study left by her late master. Her peace is shattered one night when Gu Ye, a rough-edged antique dealer covered in wounds, smashes through her window—he’s being chased by debt collectors and searching for the missing Song Dynasty script *The Butterfly Play*. Coincidentally, Lin Wan has exactly that script locked in her drawer, a gift from her master who warned her “never let it see the light of day.” Forced to live together, Gu Ye’s warmth breaks through Lin Wan’s three-year psychological trauma, while Lin Wan’s gentleness makes Gu Ye let go of his obsession with “profit.” But when the debt collectors arrive and the family feud behind the script surfaces, how will two people used to “hiding” find the courage to face the world in each other’s arms?
