Su Xiaoman, a second-hand house renovator nicknamed “Wild Rose of Demolition” for exposing the fake warmth in clients’ homes, meets Gu Jinchuan, a highly educated lawyer who insists on preserving every crack in his late mother’s old house—even if the wallpaper peels or furniture molds. Su insists on “causing trouble”: she finds the mother’s cancer diary under the sofa cushion, digs up Gu’s childhood failed exam papers under the floor, and even pulls out an unsent “divorce letter” from the old mailbox. When “demolition” tears down Gu’s “perfect disguise,” and the wild rose collides with a man who “can’t feel pain,” they realize: the wall that needs dismantling most is the one in their memories, and the warmth they want to keep most is in each other’s eyes.
