When office drone Lin Xiaoman was on the verge of collapse from overtime, she accidentally bound to the "Scorching Sun System"—the mission: make the icy immortal guru Gu Jinchuan feel a "heartbeat hotter than the scorching sun," or she'll be turned into hot pot tripe! To survive, she grits her teeth and becomes Gu's assistant: her milk tea is mistaken for "poison," her hot pot lesson is called "vulgar," and even her fake fall is caught by his immortal magic... But gradually, she discovers the tenderness beneath Gu's cold exterior: he shields her from alcohol, secretly finishes her PPT, and warms her hands with immortal power when she's sick. And Gu's secret is even more shocking—he traveled a thousand years to find her, fulfilling their "Scorching Sun Pact" from a past life! As the system's countdown nears, Lin realizes: what she truly wants isn't just to survive, but this man—hotter than the sun—loving her back.
