A-hua, a village girl growing up in the mountains, gains a supernatural ability to hear the voices of all things after being knocked down by a mad cow. She rescues a sick old cow, learns from its voice that there's a treasure in its horn, but meets a black-hearted vet who wants to embezzle the treasure and cheat the cow owner. Using her ability, A-hua publicly exposes the vet's crimes of selling sick animals and extorting money, forcing him to kneel and beg for mercy, starting her road to success.
