Lin Chujia, a third-rate celestial master who always messes up exorcism jobs, picks up Su Xiaotang—a cute little girl in ancient costume—one day. He thinks she’s a burden, but Su is actually the reincarnation of an ancient fire fox with a “protective buff”—whoever bullies Lin, she “burns” their troubles with fox fire! When the wealthy Fu family hires Lin to exorcise an evil spirit, Su uncovers the second young master’s scheme to seize the family fortune using black magic. She immediately burns his conspiracy ledger with fox fire and exposes the Fu family’s dirty secrets—embezzlement, employee bullying—to the internet, tearing off their fig leaf! Lin goes from “being scolded by clients” to “top star in the celestial master circle” overnight, and he’s touched by Su’s straightforwardness. Su, meanwhile, learns to rely on Lin from an “ancient fox fairy”: “Chujia, modern candy is sweeter than thousand-year spirit fruits.” As they揭穿 plots and bicker sweetly, this funny and heartwarming story of a celestial master and his protective fox fairy begins!
