Lin Xiaoman is a walking bad luck magnet: unemployed, evicted by her landlord, and even her instant noodles have no seasoning. Until she picks up a dying goldfish—who turns into a handsome guy named Bai Ze! He's the Lucky Koi from Heaven, exiled for "helping too much," and must grant her three "non-get-rich-quick" wishes to return. But Bai Ze's magic is full of blunders: wanting a job leads her to become her rival's assistant, wanting a rental gets her a haunted loft, and wanting to find love brings her ex back begging for reconciliation... After each breakdown, Lin Xiaoman slowly realizes that Bai Ze's "stupid methods" have helped her regain her passion for life. And Bai Ze, during the process of helping her turn her life around, secretly falls in love—instead of going back to Heaven to be an immortal, he'd rather be her exclusive lucky koi.
