Lin Xiaoman, a left-behind girl at the foot of White Mountain, dreams of saving money to find her mother in the city. But her grandfather suddenly dies, leaving an ancient jade carved with "Black Water Spirit Guardian" and a last wish: "Protect the village." That night, an evil spirit awakens from Black Water Lake behind the village. The jade glows, revealing her rare "White Mountain Spirit Body"—her grandfather was a hermit spirit guardian. Torn between her urban longing, the village her grandfather died for, and evil cultivators hunting her spiritual root, Lin holds the jade and vows to the mountains and waters: "If I become an immortal, I'll guard this mortal world with my life!"
