Lin Xiaochuan, a 27-year-old who’s sold pancakes in the old alley for three years, dreams of saving enough to open a branch. One late night, he stumbles upon a bloodied man being chased by black-clad men – instinct makes him pull the man into his storage room. To his shock, the "fugitive" is Zhou Bo, a retired divine doctor hunted for refusing to treat a gang leader, mistakenly labeled a "gang boss." After recovering, Zhou Bo vows to repay the favor: "My granddaughter Xiaotang just returned from the UK studying design – she’s yours!" Lin panics (he’s never even dated!), but Xiaotang, who came home to escape an arranged marriage, starts helping at the stall and falls for his dedication (kneading dough at 5 AM) and kindness (saving pancakes for strays). Will this "forced engagement" turn into a lifelong love?
