Lin Xiaoman, the “last heir” of a small-town pharmacy, struggles to survive with an old medicine cabinet and a family heirloom ointment after her grandfather’s death. One day, the adopted son of the Shen family—the richest in Longcheng—rushes in with the comatose Mr. Shen, begging Xiaoman to use the ointment as a last resort. To everyone’s shock, Mr. Shen wakes up and grabs Xiaoman’s hand, shouting, “Your grandfather owes me a drink!” Xiaoman then learns that this “bedridden invalid” who’d been abandoned by his children for a decade is actually the legendary “Living Hua Tuo” who once dominated the medical world—and her family’s ointment is the secret recipe he gave her grandfather thirty years ago! When Mr. Shen recovers, he not only wants to take Xiaoman as his apprentice but also forces her to uncover the truth behind his “fake death” and retreat from the world…
