Lin Mo, who died alone from illness in his previous life, is reborn as a same-named gambler in 1998. As he opens his eyes, he sees his niece Xiaotang偷偷 pressing a crumpled dime into his hand, whispering fearfully: "Uncle, buy a bun, don't gamble anymore." This body once gambled away his mother's life-saving money, drove his father to cut ties, and made his sister avoid him like a plague. Clutching the coin still warm from Xiaotang's hand, Lin Mo decides to reclaim his lost family: selling popsicles at dawn, setting up a night stall, saving every cent to pay debts; boiling ginger tea for his mother daily, staying up late to help Xiaotang with homework. But how easy is it to warm a broken heart? Until a rainstorm night—he runs three kilometers barefoot to pick up Xiaotang, shielding her schoolbag while he gets soaked. Xiaotang cries, "Uncle, I'm scared you'll leave again," and his mother stands in the rain with an umbrella, her eyes red: "Come home for dinner." Turns out redemption isn't about winning bets—it's about using the warmth of a dime to glue a broken family back together.
