Lin Xiaochuan, a newly unemployed corporate slave, spends his last 3,000 yuan on a dusty, mysterious glass tank from an old alley's second-hand market. When he wipes it, he cuts his finger—drop of blood falls in, and suddenly the tank connects to Xuanyuan Realm, a cultivation world with depleted spiritual energy! A toothpick becomes a "Black Iron Soul-Breaking Needle," a battery a "Spirit-Gathering Immortal Crystal," even his plastic cup turns into a "Wanling Sacred Pot!" Su Ling'er, a young cultivator from Xuanyuan, begs for help: the Demon Sect is about to massacre her sect! Lin throws a paperclip, which turns into a "Soul-Locking Chain" and binds the Demon Sect's heir—overnight, he's the "Heaven-Covering Emperor" of Xuanyuan! But the tank heats up, and a voice warns: "The portal needs your life force. Use it again, and your soul stays here forever!" When Su returns with her sect's survivors, Lin stares at his lighter (which becomes a "Nanming Fire Talisman")—flee back to the mortal world, or risk his life to save Xuanyuan?
